Mapping out FFglitch

Prerequisite Software

*Although these prerequisite tools may support operating systems other than Windows, this tutorial was tailored with instructions for Windows devices. These steps will ultimately be similar, but I cannot guarantee their success on other platforms. Steps marked with an asterisk will identify this.

  • Notepad (pre-installed with Windows devices) or other programs capable of converting .txt to .js files
  • 7-Zip (supports Windows, *macOS, and Linux/Unix)
    • FFglitch is a 7-Zip file, and you will thereby need a program with the ability to unzip zipped files. Alternatives are available, but 7-Zip is both free and recommended.
  • Git (supports Windows, *macOS, and *Linux/Unix)
    • After an automatic download, it is advised that you choose the recommended options during the installation process.
  • FFglitch (supports Windows, *macOS, and *Linux/Unix)
    • With a file-manager such as 7-Zip now installed, a window (pictured below) should automatically open. Drag the unzipped file to your desktop or folder of choice.
